1939 International pick up, 401 Buick Nailhead, Turbo 400 trans, $8,000.00 with 3 days to go, in Cloverdale, Oregon !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
I would replace the transmission with a Muncie 4-speed.

I think I like it.

Frankly I'd want to put fenders and a hood back on it. It looks like that would require moving the grill forward a bit.

Hood, maybe. Fenders? It does have weird Corgi-like proportions, but I'm not sure Fenders are the fix. Maybe a longer bed?

I would too. Grille just seems like it's floating out there, not the right kind of grille for that.
I'd leave off fenders and just put a hood on though.
Nice to see a nailhead get used though, cool to be different!

No, I don't think hood and no fenders works for me either. Maybe just a different grill.

I think the bed having been shortened is the root of the gooney appearance more than the fenders being off.

I just like the open headers look, if they could be directed up and over the fenders and the "sides of the hood" left open I'd be good

But ... it is such a handsome truck with fenders and a hood

Regardless I'd hoon the wheels of it.
